Saturday, 06 March 2010 01:32
Prior to the PAQS Annual Board meeting in Tokyo the PAQS Education Committee met to consider advancing the proposals for a regional system of competency standards and accreditation of university courses. There is strong support now within PAQS member countries to develop this system and the basics have been agreed in principle. Initially any university in the region which has obtained the individual accreditation of Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore will be entitled to immediately apply for PAQS accreditation. It is planned that reaccreditation of such courses will be conducted by a joint PAQS members panel in the future.
