The 14th PAQS Congress and Board meeting are to be held in Singapore from 23 to 27 July 2010. The venue is the Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore and the hosts are the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) with the congress theme, Sustainable Cost Management: Borderless Innovation. The 13th PAQS Congress and Board meeting was held in Malaysia from 15 to 18 August 2009, at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The PAQS Golf tournament was held on Friday, 7 August 2009. The Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (ISM) and the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia were hosted these successful events.

The 12th PAQS Congress was held in Edmonton, Canada from 16 to 18 June 2008. The PAQS Annual Board meeting was held prior to the Congress, on 15 June 08. The Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) hosted these events and must be congratulated on providing the 200 plus delegates with a marvellous technical and social program, which was thoroughly enjoyed by members and their partners.

Members also attended the International Cost Engineering Council (ICEC) 6th World Congress in Toronto, Canada from 29 June to 2 July 08. This was hosted by the AACEI in conjunction with their annual conference.

A very successful 11th PAQS Congress was held in Auckland New Zealand from 10 - 12 June 2007 at the Skycity Grand Hotel. Over 300 delegates attended the excellent technical and social programs hosted by the NZIQS. We congratulate the NZIQS for their excellent management of the Congress and associated meetings. A full report on the Congress will be included in the next PAQS newsletter.The PAQS Committees and Board met on 9 and 10 June prior to the opening of the Congress on the 11th and reports on these meetings will also be published later. The PAQS Golf tournament was held on Friday 8 June 07.

The 10th PAQS Congress was held in Singapore from 21-24 May 2006 at the Marina Mandarin Hotel and the Proceedings of the Congress are available for purchase from the SISV - see the contact details for the SISV on the Membership page. An excellent social and technical program ensured that the 170 delegates had a memorable event. About half the total number of delegates were from some 12 countries making this a truly international Congress. The PAQS Board meeting was held prior to the Congress and further progress was made in the PAQS research, international promotion and accreditation activities. PAQS interim accreditation was granted to the University of Technology Sydney.
